Nazly Frias

Orchid is Colombia's national flower.
I usually have one like this one at home.
About Me
In some ways, I am an atypical Colombian.
I like all music-related, yet I need/enjoy silence just as much.
I love people and am a conversationalist, but
I am not an extrovert.

When I was an undergrad, I joined a youth leadership organization, AIESEC. It changed my life—literally. I traveled, lived, and worked in places like Belgium, India, Brazil, and Turkey and met people who, even today, are a big part of my life.

I am a hyper-achiever and hyper-rational in recovery.
I've learned to let my softer sides take space in my life: the creative Nazly, the one who goes with the flow, follows her intuition, and is okay with not achieving and just being. The Nazly who enjoys the simple moments of happiness and presence, alone and with my loved ones.

It's a lifetime journey. I'm still learning. Every day.

I have lived in Berlin since 2022, but part of my heart remains in Colombia and Latin America.

I am - like everyone else- much more complex than what I could ever express. Vibrant with contractions, lights and shadows.
Values, beliefs and other life passions
Beliefs can be self-fulfilling prophecies. I choose to believe that every situation can be turned into a gift or opportunity, so I (mostly) embrace change even
when I fear it.

Some of my values: love, (un)learning, courage, and adventure.

The loves of my life: family/friends, dogs, books, and tea.
Regular hobbies: strength training, swimming, city biking, time with friends, time with Pepi (dog), and occasional yoga.

Creative outlets: cooking, journaling, my work, and all music - dancing, singing, playing, and listening to it.

I am an eternal Amateur in all of my hobbies. Imagine if I were a pro at spending time with my dog!

One of the few photography books I have.

The day, during my sabbatical,
I lost and miraculously found my bag + journal!
My Non-Linkedin Story
I went to law school knowing I would never practice but that I would have a solid foundation for the journey ahead.
It took me almost a decade of working and studying around the world to have the clarity and courage to embrace
my life's purpose.

I learned firsthand how challenging it is to be a leader, build a team, and effect change at scale. I was impressed by how few support leaders and leadership teams get.

It took a year-long sabbatical in Berlin and a concentrated dose of courage to let go of the limiting belief that I was only an intrapreneur and could only make a difference working inside an established organization.
Leadership Impact is one of the greatest expressions of courage, purpose and creativity in my life.
